Thank you From Sink 2 Swim! My child had been in swim lessons for two years and seemed to only regress. She was scared of the water. Two weeks with the instructors at From Sink 2 Swim and my daughter was able to almost completely swim on her own. They instilled confidence and drive in her. Now I can't keep her out of the pool. Makes a mother happy to see an excited and eager smile on her child's face! Thank you Jennifer Sobotik and From Sink 2 Swim!
Our six year old daughter has participated in all of the sessions of swim lessons offered by FromSink2Swim during the summer of 2016 at Deerfield. She started the program being able to adequately swim only freestyle but was unable to properly breathe while swimming. Our only real goal for the swim lessons was for our daughter to be safe in the water when we started the program. After the first session of two weeks with Coach Brit our daughter had mastered freestyle swimming with proper breathing and was starting to become more proficient in breast stroke and back stroke. By the middle of the fourth session our daughter knows more strokes then I do, is diving, and wants to join the subdivision swim team next year. I credit the swim lessons and her instructor with the large amount of progress she has made over the summer. The opportunity to have these lessons at our neighborhood pool throughout the week and at varying offered times to meet most families schedules has been a fantastic addition to our subdivision.
I am writing in enthusiastic support of Sink2Swim for an outstanding swimming program. Jennifer Sobotik, owner of Sink2Swim, has an exceptionally well-trained staff, many of whom have been with her over several years. The swim instructors promote water safety as they instill a love of swimming in their students and the small group ratio ensures that each student gets the individualized instruction to their ability as well as strengths/weaknesses. The swim instructors have the teaching skills and the patience needed to teach swimming to various skill levels and hands-on teaching techniques to affect a positive outcome.
All of our experiences during our three year association with Jennifer and Sink2Swim have been very positive and rewarding. My children overcame their fear of water and became knowledgeable in swimming terms and water safety as well as feeling accomplished with their abilities in the water. We look forward to many more lessons with Jennifer and her team.
Jennifer Sobotik started From Sink2Swim in December of 2015. She is a resident of Encino Park, and was born and raised in San Antonio. Jennifer was involved in the pool atmosphere since she was a little girl, from swimming on the swim team, growing up lifeguarding, teaching lessons, to also coaching swimming. Jennifer graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007, and immediately moved back to San Antonio to start her teaching career for NEISD, where she taught middle school 6th and 7th grade English/History for four years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Her passion for kids and teaching others played a major part in creating her student-centered summer curriculum. She married her husband Brad in 2010, and they have two sons, Brayden (2011) and Cameron (2014). Jennifer’s passion is to work alongside neighborhoods and her staff to promote water safety, the art of teaching swimming to others, and the love of the water.
